Our story.

Laura (Seeger) Wilson & Deb (Kaufman) Placey met in 7th grade — in Mr. Lisitano’s Art Class in St. Louis — when they were 12. As teens, in search of sun and palm trees, together they headed for college at University of Arizona.

From high school and college to being bridesmaids in each other’s weddings and raising 6 kids between them, they always remained besties.

While ESPN and Deb’s career as a sportscaster brought her to the New York City area, Laura became a renowned lifestyle shop owner in St. Louis. Always Deb’s favorite stop in her hometown, the friends decided to band together and open a “Connecticut version” of Laura’s store. The ubiquitous Post Road in Westport was chosen as the ideal location for "The Post," a lifestyle outpost that combines the best of city, country & coastal vibes.

Deb and Laura partnered with Laurie Baur (a “new” friend), whom Deb met 30 years ago on her first day of college, waiting in line for dorm rooms. Laurie, too, has lived in both New Canaan, Connecticut and St. Louis and rounds off the trio as the sophisticated custom design expert and they are delighted to share their aesthetic and vision.

Come have some fun! Come see us at The Post!
